Swim-a-Thon Raises Record Amount for Upper Valley Club
White River Junction — The Upper Valley Aquatic Club Swim Team Swim-a-thon raised more than $10,000 for the swim club, which will be used to fund the club’s scholarship fund, purchase new equipment and help cover costs of competitions and travel expenses for athletes.
The record-breaking amount was raised after team members swam a total of 8,761 laps in two hours. The team has 135 members from all over the Upper Valley including Bridgewater, Grantham, Hartland, Hartford, Quechee, Reading and Woodstock.
