West Windsor — Green Mountain Power says an emergency power outage will affect West Windsor, Brownsville, Reading and parts of Weathersfield for about two hours starting at 8 this evening.

Utility officials said crews need to safely repair storm damage to a transmission line that affects those areas. About 1,400 customers will lose power.

The damage was caused by a severe wind storm late last week and was spotted by a helicopter patrol.
