Hanover, N.H. —
She attended the Buxton and Horace Mann-Lincoln Schools. She earned a B.A. from Middlebury College, Vt., an M.A.T. from Wesleyan University, Conn., and pursued doctoral studies at McGill University, Montreal, Canada. She was a dedicated and acclaimed teacher, teaching for 40 years at Dawson College, Montreal. She was a founding faculty member of Dawson, chaired the Departments of English and Interior Design, and took many other leadership roles. She summered at her beloved Fair Harbor, Fire Island, N.Y. most of her life.
She was predeceased by her parents, and her son, Thomas M. Glowa. She is survived by her children, Patricia T. Glowa (Donald O. Kollisch), Hanover; Nancy E. Glowa (Dirck Roosevelt), Cambridge, Mass.; and Stephen R. Nelson (Alyssa Dodson),; New York, N.Y.; her six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; sister Nina Rothchild (Kennon Rothchild), Robert L. Peek III (Pat Peek); nieces and nephews.
