Dartmouth (7-19, 3-10 Ivy League) shot 30-of-53 (56.6 percent) from the floor, including 12-of-24 from 3-point range. Adrease Jackson and Taylor Johnson each scored 12 for Dartmouth.
The Big Green led, 76-62, with 4:14 left after a pair of free throws by Barry before Columbia went on a 13-2 run and pulled within 78-75 on a three-point play by Kyle Castlin three minutes later.
The Big Green turned the ball over on its next possession and, after a timeout, the Lions’ Patrick Tape missed a jumper with 19 seconds to go. He fouled Dartmouth’s Taylor Johnson, who sank two foul shots to seal the win. Columbia’s Nate Hickman sank a 3-pointer as time expired for the final margin.
Castlin scored 22 points, Mike Smith scored 20 and Hickman added 13 for Columbia (8-18, 5-8).
Dartmouth closes its campaign at home against Cornell tonight.
Big Green’s WeekendRearranged by Weather
New York
Instead of playing the Big Red in Ithaca, n.y., tonight, Dartmouth stayed in New York for a 2 p.m. contest with Columbia. The Big Green heads to Ithaca afterward and will play at Cornell on Sunday, also at 2 p.m.
Dartmouth is out of the picture for the league tournament, trailing both Harvard and Yale and lacking a tiebreaker advantage with both schools.

Micah Schroder played the star in beating CCSU, blasting a two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh inning for the victory. Heather Turner worked the final two innings in the circle for the win. Taylor Ward also had a pair of RBIs for the Big Green.
Arkansas (11-1) dominated in Dartmouth’s second game of the day, which was called after 4½ innings by the mercy rule. Schroder had two RBIs and Calista Almer had one as the Big Green built a 3-0 lead in the top of the second. The Razorbacks answered with five in the bottom half and another seven in the third.
Dartmouth plays Northern Colorado and Arkansas again today.
