South Royalton, Vt. —
She was born May 10, 1924, in Rochester, N.H. the daughter of Henry and Alice (Grassien) Baldwin. She grew up in Rochester where she attended school. On May 29, 1941, she married Harry E. Durant, Jr. They lived for many years in the Portsmouth, N.H. area. Upon retirement they moved to South Royalton. Harry died Aug. 27, 2004.
She was a member of the Womans Relief Corps. In Farmington, N.H., VFW Auxillary in White River Junciton, Vt., Woman’s Club in South Royalton, and the Ideal Rebeccas in Rochester, N.H. and Sharon, Vt.
She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, crocheting, and taking care of her dog.
She is survived by her good friends Paul Amell of South Royalton and Mary Ayer of Sharon.
There are no public calling hours. A graveside funeral service will be held later this spring at the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Randolph, Vt.
