Ronald was born Feb. 20, 1947 in Strafford, Vt., the fifth child of 12 born to Ralph and Mabel (Nelson) Hosmer.
He was predeceased by his parents; brothers Everett of Madison, Conn., Harry of Corinth, Vt., Steven of Newport, N.H. and Jeffrey of St. Johnsbury, Vt.; a sister Virginia Paul of Montpelier, Vt.; and a half brother Elwin Hill.
Ron worked at Densmore Brick Co. and the Tannery in Lebanon for many years before starting his own business. He owned and operated Ron’s Drywall while raising his family in Sharon, Vt. Ronald was very proud to have gotten his auctioneering license which he so enjoyed and loved to show off his skill at family reunions.
Ronald loved the Upper Valley where he grew up and returned whenever possible. He enjoyed four-wheeling, snow machining, fishing, camping, hunting and just being out in nature.
Survivors include his three children, Ronald (Ronnie) of North Hartland, Vt., Michael (Mike) of Royalton, Vt. and Shelly Kilburn of Royalton, Vt.; several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren; his brother Bruce (Eva) of Grantham, N.H.. sisters Priscilla Tetreault (Ron) White River Jct., Vt., Janice Sanborn Edgewater, Fla.., Betty McIntier (Tom) Pittsfield, Maine, Patricia Gould Solon, Maine and Robin Tuscan (Ray) of Madison, Maine.
A private service will be held at a later date at the discretion of his children.
