South Royalton, Vt. — Moses S. Chase, 47, died Monday evening, Feb. 12, 2018, at the Jack Byrnes Center in Lebanon, N.H.

Moses was born on April 8, 1970 in Randolph, Vt. the son of Dean and Alice (Dyer) Chase.

Moses spent a number of years as a stonemason in the local area. He loved high school football, hunting, fishing, riding back roads, telling his jokes, drawing, woodcarvings, and spending time at his mother’s house with family and friends.

Moses is survived by his mother Alice Chase of So. Royalton, Vt.; his son Garrett Chase of Post Mills, Vt.; his daughter Shelbie Chase of Hartford, Vt.; his former wife Ida Chase of Hartford, Vt.; two sisters Georgianna (Perry) Tucker of Hartford Vt., and Renee Phelbrick of Tunbridge, Vt.; three brothers Eric (Eggie) Chase and Adam Chase of Conover, N.C., and Jerry Tucker of No. Clarendon, Vt.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his father he is predeceased by a sister Loney Knipe.

A celebration of Moses life is being planned for this April.
