Edward (Ted) J. Guay

Lebanon, N.H. — Edward (Ted) J. Guay, 90, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018, at Valley Terrace in White River Junction, Vt. He was born in Lebanon, N.H. on Oct. 9, 1927, to the late Joseph & Eva (Jacques) Guay. Ted grew up in Lebanon and proudly served in the Navy during WWII. He worked for Boston & Maine Railroad following his discharge from the Navy. In 1952, Ted began working at Verham News in West Lebanon, retiring in 1988. He loved being outdoors trapping, hunting, fishing and doing yard work. Ted was an avid fan of the Baltimore Orioles. Ted also enjoyed volunteering at the Soldiers Memorial Home.

Ted is survived by his wife of seventy years, Elizabeth (Johnson) Guay of Lebanon, N.H., a sister–in-law Janice Miles of West Lebanon, his children Donna Foley and husband James of South Hadley, Mass., Theresa Remick of Walpole, Mass., Edward Guay and wife Robin of Enfield, N.H., Annette Guay of Aberdeen, N.C., his grandchildren Kevin Foley and wife Kim of South Hadley, Mass., Matthew Foley and wife Amy of South Hadley, Mass., Jennifer Evers and husband Barry of Hudson, Mass., Katherine Remick of Walpole, Mass., Eric Guay of Enfield, N.H., Sarah Guay of Enfield, N.H. and Amanda Robbins and husband Kevin of Aberdeen, N.C., also nine great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews.

Ted was predeceased by his brother Roger and sisters Rita, Regina, and Rose. 

Calling hours will be Monday, Feb. 12, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Ricker Funeral Home in Lebanon, N.H. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Church in Lebanon, with burial to follow at the Valley Cemetery in Lebanon, N.H.
