Orange, N.H. — Jane P. Valia, 55, passed away at home following a losing battle with cancer on Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018. She grew up in Canaan and graduated from Mascoma Valley Regional High School with Honors, class of 1980. She worked as an inspector for Split Ball Bearing, now known as Timken Aerospace, for 34 dedicated years before being forced to retire due to her illness. She loved the ocean and animals, especially her pet dog, Kane. She also enjoyed tending to her flower gardens.

She leaves behind her best friend and companion, Kathy Perrin of Orange; half-brother, Leon K. Valia of Canaan, N.H.; step-brother, Daniel Hazelton of Orange, step-brother, Walter Hazelton of Grafton, N.H.; Shelly Perrin of Piermont, N.H.; and John Perrin of Fairlee, Vt. She was predeceased by her mother, Ethel Hazelton, and father, Walter Hazelton, Jr., of Canaan.

Per Jane’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral service. Ricker Funeral Home & Crematory of Lebanon-Enfield assisted the family with arrangements.
