West Topsham, Vt. — Rose Marie (Colbeth) Osmer of Claflin Road passed away Sunday evening, Dec. 10, 2017, at Grafton County Nursing Home in Haverhill, N.H. following a period of declining health. She was 69.

Born on July 26, 1948, in Newbury, Vt., she was the daughter of Elmer B. and Marguerite W. (Hood) Colbeth. Rose attended Newbury Schools.

On Oct. 12, 1968, she was united in marriage to Harold E. Osmer and they settled in West Topsham.

In addition to being a homemaker, in earlier years, she drove school bus for John Pierson and worked as an aide at the Berlin Convalescent Home and Rowan Court in Berlin.

She will be remembered as one who adored her husband, family, and grandchildren. She also enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, doing puzzles and coloring.

Besides her parents, she is predeceased by two brothers, Richard Colbeth and Timothy Colbeth, and a brother-in-law Roland Cross.

She leaves her loving husband of 49 years Harold E. Osmer, Sr., of West Topsham; a son, Harold E. Osmer, Jr of Corinth; a daughter, Annette Wilson and companion Gregg Barney of East Barre; grandchildren, Jordan Osmer and wife Brittnay of Wells River, Rebecca Osmer and Hanna Osmer both of Corinth, and Hayley Wilson of West Topsham; a great-grandbaby to be born in December; a brother Harley Colbeth of Peacham; a sister Margaret Cross of Jeffersonville, Vt.; a sister-in-law Linda Colbeth of Newbury as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 23, at Hale Funeral Home, 187 Upper Plain, Bradford, Vt. Alson Bruleigh will officiate. A calling hour will be held from 1 p.m to 2 p.m. prior to the service.
