Vershire, Vt. — William M. Tuttle, Sr., of South Vershire Road, passed away Friday, Dec. 1, 2017, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH following a period of declining health. He was 77.

Born on Nov. 22, 1940, in Corinth, Vt., he was the son of Allen and Alfreida (Sweet) Tuttle.

William grew up in Thetford, Vt. and attended Thetford Academy. He was a self-employed logger and a brick, block, and stone mason. He was an avid hunter.

He enjoyed hanging out with friends and was always good for laughs and a good time. He will be remembered as “a best friend to many and always had an open ear and open door for all.”

He is survived by a son William M. Tuttle, Jr., and wife Janet of Lyndonville, Vt. and a daughter Sherry Lynn Paquette of Suffield, Conn. as well as several grandchildren, sisters, nieces, and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, at Hale Funeral Home, Rte 113, in Thetford Center, Vt.
