Lucy, adoptable from Sullivan County Humane Society
“I am 2-year-old Lucy. I was left behind in an apartment with my babies. The landlord found me inside with them and called for help. He and his friends took my babies, but I was brought here.
“I am quite the demanding girl but I have a funny personality! I am vet checked, spayed, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped and FIV/FeLV negative.”
Lucy is up for adoption from Sullivan County Humane Society, located at 145 Broad St. in Claremont. Please see hours on the humane society website at www.sullivancountyhumanesociety.org and Facebook. Call 603-542-3277 or email sullivanhumane@hotmail.com.
Rosemary, adoptable from Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society
“Hi! My name’s Rosemary and I’m a 11-year-old spayed female. I was found as a stray and brought safely to Lucy Mackenzie. I really can’t explain why I was a stray, but I’m most certainly not meant to be one! I like living indoors, where it’s safe and warm and where there’s plenty of food.
“Speaking of food, I’m healthiest when I’m eating a special hypoallergenic diet, which the people here can tell you about. To make sure that’s the only food I consume, I have my very own condo here at the shelter, which I don’t mind one little bit. As a matter of fact, it’s helped me to decide that I would like to live as an only-cat in my new home.
“If you’ve been looking for a senior gal who is full of personality and incredibly deserving, stop in and meet me today!”
Rosemary is up for adoption from Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society, located at 4832 Route 44 in West Windsor and open to the public Tuesday through Saturday, 12-4 p.m. Lucy Mackenzie is also on Facebook and Twitter and can be reached at 802-484-5829.
Copper, adoptable from Upper Valley Humane Society
“Hi there! I’m Copper, an 8-year-old Treeing Walker Coonhound. I am partially or mostly deaf, and I am quite vocal because I can’t hear myself!
“I’m a friendly and social guy who needs to spend a lot of time outside in a fenced-in yard. I’ve gotten along with kids and other dogs that I’ve met. Come find out how great I am!”
Copper is up for adoption from the Upper Valley Humane Society, located at 300 Old Route 10 in Enfield and open to the public Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. The Upper Valley Humane Society is also on Facebook and Instagram and can be reached at 603-448-6888.
