There’s so much more to Thanksgiving than turkey day and the Upper Valley always shows that. There are opportunities to volunteer, exercise and see performances, all in the name of Thanksgiving.

Zack’s Place Turkey Trot 5K in Woodstock

The Zack’s Place Turkey Trot, a 5K run and walk fundraiser held on Thanksgiving Day, was first established in 2007. All proceeds from the race support operational costs for Zack’s Place, a community enrichment center for people with special needs. The race begins in front of the Woodstock Elementary School at 10 a.m. The course meanders through the village of Woodstock, then on toward Billings Farm, around Mountain Avenue and back around the town green, ending at the starting line.
