Windsor, Vt. —
Jason had a very big heart and was generous even when he had nothing. No matter his circumstance, he always had room for someone who was not as well off as he was.
He spent hours listening to his favorite Blues music. He made two guitars that he played regularly. He also liked nothing better than to paddle his canoe on Vermont’s rivers and ponds, either alone or with someone in the bow. Those trips-psychological were usually an excuse to go fishing and Jason would never fail to fill his stringer with the biggest, fattest fish anyone had ever seen caught in each pond or river he fished.
Jason was very proud of his service in the U.S. Air Force, his years as a laborer, and his Catholic upbringing. Throughout his life Jason was supported by loyal friends and family, and the doctors, nurses, social workers and counselors at the White River Junction Veterans Administration Hospital.
Jason is survived by his parents, Gerald and Janice Lepisko, Sr.; his brother, Jerry Lepisko; his sisters, Jill Trombly and her husband, Gene and Jennifer Bjornstad and her husband, Jon; nieces, Hannah Lepisko, Bella and Ava Bjornstad; uncles, Tom and Gary Wenzel; and many other friends and relatives.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jason’s name can be made to the Disabled American Veterans or the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill. Or simply be kind and generous to a stranger like Jason would do.
