Bradford, Vt. — Jean Egbert was born on July 31, 1932. She died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017, after a short illness. Jean was born in Boston and raised in Claremont, N.H. She became an RN and worked many years at Sullivan County Home.

Jean was married to Richard Egbert for 63 years, until his death in 2015. They had four children, Brenda, Jeffrey, Charles, and Sandra.

Jean and Dick retired to Cape Cod and lived there for thirty years. She enjoyed working in her gardens, walking the beach, sewing, and had many other hobbies.

Jean was predeceased by her daughter, Sandra and husband, Dick. She is survived by Brenda & Cass, Jeff, and Chuck. She is also survived by grandchildren Sarah Rand, Jennifer Hook, Brian Hook, David Hook, and Sandra Egbert. She has a grandson, Taylor Barton.

A celebration of the lives of Jean and Dick will be held at the Claremont Congregational Church on Nov. 4 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Bradford Oasis, 92 Cottage St, Bradford, Vt 05033.
