Hanover, N.H. — Gary Randall Brown of Hanover, passed away peacefully on Monday, Oct. 16, 2017, following multiple complications from MDS. He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Rosemary; sons, Josh and Jeremy; sisters, Pam (Marshall), Wendy; brothers, Bart (Michele), Lowell (Denise), Darryl (Kim); brother-in-law, Adam; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Born in Schenectady, N.Y., Gary is a graduate of Syracuse University and Albany Law School. After a 32-year legal career in Woodstock, Vt., he and Rosemary relocated to Hanover.

History and global/political developments were always of deep interest and naturally incorporated his lifelong advocacy for social and civic responsibility. During his career he served with many boards and organizations. A shared love of music led Gary and Rosemary to the valued enrichment of countless music performances and arts-related opportunities.

A short burial service conducted by Rabbi Alan Fuchs, will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Rose Hill in Woodstock, at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 19. A gathering for family and friends with a light lunch, will be held at 12 noon at the Hanover Inn, Hanover.
