Frederick Carpenter

Claremont, N.H. — Frederick Carpenter, 65, formerly of Hollywood, Fla., passed away peacefully on Wednesday Aug. 30, 2017 at the Elmwood Center in Claremont. He was born in Bay Shore, N.Y. to Edgar J. & Ruth N. Donley (Carpenter) in June of 1952. Frederick grew up in West Babylon, N.Y. on Long Island. He was married to Kathie Grover in 1972 and moved upstate in New York where his 3 children were born. There, he worked for Tracy Baking company until it closed. He then landed in the telecommunications industry and moved to Florida in 1994. Fred was a hard worker and enjoyed working and traveling for work. He worked until his health would no longer allow him. Outside of work, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, taking photographs and having a good time. He was always interested in science and technology. He was an avid reader of National Geographic magazine and watcher of science-related television right to the end.

Fred is survived by his two daughters Chris Wolfe and her husband Sean of Lebanon, N.H. and Jamie Carpenter and her companion David Johnston, six grandchildren Xander Wolfe, Isaac Wolfe, Zohie Johnston, Evrin Johnston, Zachery Carpenter and Jenna Carpenter, his mother Ruth Dunn, his sister Peggy Lasala, nieces and nephews, and his former wife Kathie Grover Tiffany. He was predeceased by his son Steven R. Carpenter and his brother Edgar C. Carpenter.

There will be no calling hours, family and friends are invite to Fred’s memorial service at the Mt.
