Strickland — Powers

Enfield —  Branch Strickland and Aaron Powers were married on June 17, 2017, in New York City.

A reception followed in Brooklyn. The couple and the couple’s parents and siblings each gave speeches during the civil ceremony.

Strickland is the son of Marcia Herrin and Alan Stickland, of Enfield Center. He graduated from Mascoma Valley Regional High School in 2001 and earned a bachelor’s degree in politics and film from the University of California, Santa Cruz in Santa Cruz, Calif. He earned a master’s degree in public administration from New York University in 2009 and is the executive director of budget and financial planning at the New York City Office of Emergency Management.

Powers is the son of Karen Hemphill and Gerald Powers of Cincinnati, Ohio. He graduated from Summit Country Day School in Cincinnati in 2003. He earned a bachelor’s degree in American studies from Brown University in Providence, R.I., in 2007 and is employed as a brand and innovation consultant at Sylvain Labs in New York City.

The couple honeymooned in Hawaii and Japan. They live in New York City.
