Dr. Alexander de Nesnera will serve as chief medical officer, and Dr. Gary S. Moak as associate medical director, Dartmouth-Hitchcock said on Thursday. They have served in those roles on an interim bases since January.
“In their interim roles, Dr. de Nesnera and Dr. Moak have led our focus on making sure patients get the best clinical care,” New Hampshire Hospital Interim CEO Donald Shumway said in a statement. “We applaud Dartmouth-Hitchcock’s decision to make their roles permanent, as NHH’s patients and staff will continue to be well-served by their clinical leadership.”
Dartmouth-Hitchcock last week agreed to credit the state $75,000 and pay up to $77,500 for an independent review to settle allegations that it had understaffed the Concord-based psychiatric facility.
