Springfield, Vt.
Jeremy P. Johnston was driving north around 11:50 p.m. Sunday at mile marker 43 in Springfield when his Subaru Forester went off the west shoulder of the interstate and struck a large tree on the driver’s side. It then rolled over several times, and Johnston was ejected from the vehicle, according to the news release.
State Police said Johnston, who was alone in the vehicle, did not appear to have been wearing a seat belt, and that “speed appears to be a factor in the crash.”
The crash remains under investigation, and anyone with information was asked to call the Vermont State Police Westminster barracks at 802-722-4600.
