Lebanon — Two giant cranes and a crew of workman erected new signs at the Sandri Stop Smart on Route 12A in West Lebanon on Thursday and Friday.

The old signage had announced the presence of a car wash at the convenience store. But the car wash was demolished in 2014 and the city requested an updated sign to reflect accurately the services available, said Leann Cushman, administrator for codes in the city’s Planning & Development department.

Mid-summer was chosen as the time to erect the new signs “because we wanted to make sure we had a good weather window,” said Mike Behn, chief executive of Rexbo Realty Inc., the real estate development arm of Greenfield, Mass.-based gas station/convenience market and fuel distribution company Sandri LLC.
