Strafford, Vt. —
He was born on March 16, 1957 in Hanover, N.H. the son of Ralph and Betty (Bickford) Coutermarsh Sr. He attended Norwich Elementary school and then attended Hanover High School. He grew up in Beaver Meadow in Norwich.
Ralph was a self-employed logger and then was in the scrape metal business. He loved to hunt and fish, jeeping, enjoyed just being outdoors and also his dogs.
He is survived by two sisters, Robin Kantowski of Grafton, N.H. and Betsy Ward of Bradford, Vt.; and one brother, Danny Coutermarsh of Grafton; and his longtime friend, David Coburn and his wife, Lisa of Strafford; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held on Aug. 6, 2017, at 2 p.m. in the Barrett Hall in Strafford. There are no calling hours.
