Whiting, N.J. — Betty A. Durphey White passed away Friday, March 3, 2017. She was born July 15, 1938, in Windsor, Vt. She was the daughter of Edward and Mildred Durphey.

She received her schooling in Windsor, and graduated in 1956. She was married to Adolph White, later divorced.

She was predeceased by her parents and granddaughter, Toni Lebert.

Survivors include her daughter, Valerie & Tom (husband) Lebert from Toms River, N.J.; two sons, Ronald White & Sue (wife) of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Rick White of Bayville N.J.; grandchildren, Tiffany Goettsch, Cherie Lebert, Rick White, Brian White; great-granddaughter, Haley Lebert; sister, Maxine Griswold of Windsor; and two brothers, David “Joe” Durphey of Claremont, N.H. and William Durphey of Phoenix, Ariz.

Betty worked at Village Opticians for 20 years and also volunteered for Care Givers.

There will be a celebration of Betty’s life on Saturday, July 29 at 1 p.m. at the J.P. Larkin Country Club in Windsor. All are welcome.

Private burial will be at the Hilltop Cemetery in Quechee, Vt., with her parents.
