Jonathan Rikert
Jonathan Rikert

Sharon, Vt. — Jonathan Rikert, 33 of Sharon passed Wednesday, June 28, 2017, in a motorcycle accident. A daddy, a son, a brother, an uncle, a nephew, a cousin and loyal friend is what he did best. Kind, humble, loving and always there to have your back.

He fought hard to get to where he wanted to be in life and he was there! He saw beauty in the simple things in life, the important things in life, he “got it“!

His greatest joy was found spending time with family and friends taking in the total beauty of it all. He loved sports throughout his life, throughout his school years and later men’s softball.

He was happiest spending time with his daughter, Lucy Mae, no matter what it was, coloring together or painting her nails. The love of his life was Nataisha Salls and her son, Tyler. Jonathan became his dad and Tyler his son.

His nieces and nephews, he loved like his own. He was so proud of his oldest niece, Sierra, his princess and his Chloe! Also his nephew Sully, “his bud” and his sweet Brody. They will never forget their Uncle Jon.

He leaves his daughter Lucy Mae Marcroft Rikert of South Royalton, Vt.; his soulmate Nataisha Salls and son, Tyler of Sharon; his parents, Roy & Linda Rikert; a brother Mathew Rikert and his wife, Rebecca & family all of Sharon; a brother, Patrick Rikert of Arizona; two sisters, Lori Rikert of South Royalton, and Sandra Rikert of Sharon; and many wonderful aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

There are no public calling hours. A celebration of life gathering will be held Sunday, July 16, 2017, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Sharon Fire Station in Sharon. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to, Lucy Mae Marcroft Rikert & Tyler Anthony Salls, Education Fund, c/o Ledyard National Bank, P.O.
