Chelsea — A 28-year-old Piermont woman has been cited into court on a felony-level embezzlement charge. Katie Stygles allegedly took more than $70,000 over a period of several months from the Bradford, Vt.-based company for which she worked, according to a news release issued on Wednesday by the Bradford Police Department.
The case began on May 3 when a representative from ARC Mechanical Contractors contacted police and accused the office manager of taking funds though the business’ lines of credit.
Stygles will be arraigned in Orange Superior Court in Chelsea on June 14.
