Claremont, N.H. —
He was a veteran of the US Air Force for 22 years and attained the rank of Tech Sergeant, Jet Engine Training NCO. He was a Certified Aircraft Reciprocating Engine Mechanic and served during the Vietnam War. Following his retirement from the Air Force, he was employed as an inspector at Bryant Grinder Corp in Springfield, Vt., until his retirement in 1994.
On Sept. 2, 1962, he married the former Gloria D. Johnson. She predeceased him on Aug. 4, 2004. William enjoyed bowling, silhouette shooting, and reloading his own ammunition, and had a wonderful sense of humor. He and his wife Gloria coached bowling for many years. Members of his family include a daughter, Cheryl Ulz and her husband, Andrew, Post Mills, Vt.; a grandson, William Ulz, Nashville, Tenn.; a granddaughter, Jennifer Ulz, Post Mills; his beloved dog, Ted; a sister, Patricia MacDonald, Claremont; a brother, Ronald Honney and his wife, Joann, South Carolina; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Timothy Honney and a sister, Eileen Lusco.
There will be no visiting hours. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 21, at the Roy Funeral Home, 93 Sullivan Street, Claremont.
