New London, N.H. — Born on Dec. 21, 1939, in Detroit, Mich. to Malcolm L. Denise and Shirley V. Denise, Dick Denise died peacefully at home in New London on Tuesday, March 28, 2017.

He grew up in Grosse Pointe, Mich. and graduated from Grosse Pointe High School in 1957. Dick was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Michigan, class of 1961. He also held a Masters in Physics and an MBA from the U of M.

Married in 1964, he and his family lived in Wayland, Mass. from 1970 – 2006 when they moved to their home in on Messer Pond in New London.

He is survived by his wife, Rody; and by their children and grandchildren: Pete (wife Rebekah, children Noah, Avery and Malcolm); Jeremy (wife Ellie, children Jack and Max); siblings, Doug, Greg, David and Sharon; cousin Patricia; and many in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends and family too numerous to list but not forgotten.

Dick was a gentle soul and there was no greater pleasure for him in later years than playing with his grandchildren. A clever mind is immediately identified by the young. They adored their grandfather and had many happy times playing a myriad of games as well as kayaking, fishing and canoeing with him on the pond.
