Ray was born March 30, 1940 in New Haven, Conn., the son of John and Dorothy (Fortune) Spisak. He graduated from West Haven High School Class of 1957. After he joined the Army, he served for a time then transferred to the Navy, where he was a corpsman. Ray was honorably discharged from the Navy and returned to New Haven where he worked as a Crane operator before retiring and moving to Vermont in 1993. He was married to his longtime companion and friend Elaine Earp February 16, 1996. Ray like to keep busy and would work for Bruce Monmaney Painters. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankee’s, and also loved fishing.
Ray is predeceased by two sons Michael Spisak and Raymond Spisak, Jr., and a brother Jack Spisak.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Spisak of White River Junction; their cat, Rocket; his children, Johnny and Renee; and a sister-in-law, Carol and her husband, Paul.
There will be no services per Ray’s request. Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction has been entrusted with arrangements.
