Wilder, Vt. — JoAnne Ladd of Wilder passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017, from complications of a stroke at the age of 45. She is survived by her father, Walter; brother, Mark of Arkansas; nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins from Vermont, Massachusetts, New York, Ohio, Florida and Hawaii. She was predeceased by her mother, Jacqueline.

As an educator, JoAnne began her career at Corey Middle School in Memphis, Tenn. Six years later she moved to Vermont, teaching at both Hartford and Windsor middle schools. JoAnne moved on to Mascoma Valley Regional High School as their associate principal. JoAnne loved her Lord, her family, her students and was a ferociously loyal friend.

The family is establishing a memorial scholarship in her name. Donations may be made to the JoAnne Ladd Memorial Scholarship Fund, care of Mascoma Valley Regional High School, 27 Royal Rd., Canaan, NH 03741. The family would also like to encourage those who lose loved ones to reach out to New England Organ Donor Services to give the gift of life.

There will be a celebration of JoAnne Ladd’s life held in the Mascoma Valley Regional School District Community Auditorium on Thursday, March 30, 2017, at 6 p.m.
