Sunapee, N.H. — Margaret “Peggy” Touchette died on Friday, March 17, 2017, at Sullivan County Health Care in Unity, N.H. Peggy was born in Canaan, N.H. on Dec. 31, 1930, to the late John and Estabell (Braley) Holmes.

Peggy loved laughing, her children and grandchildren, sewing, reading, travelling, and winters in Florida. A major highlight of her life was her trip to Ireland and kissing the Blarney Stone.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Raymond J. Touchette of Sunapee; children, Steven (Allison) Touchette of Enfield, N.H., Raymond S. Touchette of Greenfield, N.H., Katherine (Jeffrey) Balch of Sunapee, Henry (Diana Lynn) Touchette of Newport, N.H., and Carolyn (Mikel) Redman of Claremont, N.H.; grandchildren, Bradford and Daniel Touchette, Ashley Beaudry, Brieann and Taryn Bocko, Benjamin Balch, Kristen Reida, Brittany Stokes, Samantha Pifer, Kayley Hays, Heather and Mark Girard, Allyssa and Lydia Redman; great-grandchildren, Lyle George Touchette, Taylor, Emerson and Madelyn Beaudry, Addy Pifer, Calvin and Julia Hays, Tenley and Mikey Rieda, and Elliana Girard; and sisters, Barbara Mutney, Edith Willis, and Emily Swenson.

She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Richard and Alfred Holmes; and sisters, Julia Polinski and Beverly Bridge.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2017, at 10 a.m. at the Grantham Methodist Church in Grantham, N.H.
