Enfield — Enfield voters adopted several changes to their zoning ordinance in balloting Tuesday that lacked any contested races for town offices.

Selectboard Chairman John Kluge won another three-year term on the board, receiving 520 votes. He ran unopposed for the position.

Three candidates also found themselves in uncontested in races for three positions on the Budget Committee. Nancy Smith received 445 votes, Dominic Albanese garnered 433 and Eric Crate had 431.

Most of the five zoning amendments on the ballot were attempts to update and bring Enfield’s regulations into line with state laws, officials said.

Voters approved, 407-157, an amendment that removes limitations to clear-cutting.

Another amendment that updates the regulations governing the granting of zoning variances also was adopted, 461-94. Amendments adding the definition of a kennel and accessory apartment rules to the town’s zoning ordinance and revising the definition of an abutter to match other regulations also passed by wide margins.
