Wilder, Vt. —
She was born June 11, 1958, in New Britain, Conn., a daughter of George A. and Nelleen J. (Connolly) Brauer. She graduated valedictorian of Cromwell High School class of 1976 and furthered her education at Philadelphia College of Pharmacy & Science, graduating with honors. She worked for many years as a pharmacist and moved to Vermont in the late 1990s.
JoAnn was a devoted member of Community Lutheran Church and a committed volunteer with the Upper Valley Humane Society both, in Enfield, N.H. JoAnn loved animals, especially her cats Leonard, Irving, Pandora, and Minuet. JoAnn loved making things and was always working on a project or two. She especially enjoyed sewing, knitting, embroidery, and baking.
JoAnn is survived by her mother, Nelleen Brauer, of Dundee, N.Y.; three sisters, Cora (Gary) Golding of Riverton, Conn., Susan (Warren) Anderson of Hustonville, Ky., and Jacqueline Brauer of West Hartford, Conn.; two nieces, Georgina Anderson of Mt. Sterling, Ky. and Roberta Anderson of Georgetown, Ky.; a nephew, Matthew (Acacia) Anderson of Danville, Ky.; and a great-niece and a great-nephew.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 8, at 1 p.m. at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction, Vt. Condolences may be expressed in an online guestbook atwww.knightfuneralhomes.com.
