Joshua, Texas — James B. Brantley, 79, passed away Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday at Laurel Land Memorial Park, Fort Worth, Texas. Visitation will be at 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Laurel Land.

James was born Sept. 1, 1937, to Helen Ruth and Roy Henry Brantley.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, retired from Miller Brewing, and was a member of the Grand Lodge of Texas and The American Legion.

James was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Eloise.

Survivors include his sons, James B. Brantley II of Arlington, Texas, Roy Scott Brantley of Fort Worth; daughter, Helen Bitz of Crowley, Texas; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
