Potomac, Md. — Michael Angelo Pizzuti, 85, of Potomac, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017, at his home surrounded by family.

Michael was born Jan. 11, 1932, in Lebanon, N.H., to Michael and Margaret Pizzuti. He graduated from Hanover High School in 1950. He continued on to receive a Bachelor’s of Physics Degree from the University of New Hampshire after serving in the Air Force during the Korean war. Michael was respected world-wide for his knowledge on satellite communications.

Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Bette Pizzuti of Potomac; his three children, Michael Charles Pizzuti and his wife, Monica of Charles Town, W.Va., Susan Johnston, and Robert Pizzuti of Potomac; his six grandchildren, Nicholas, Briana and Emily Pizzuti and Tyler, Kylie and Gavin Johnston; his brother, Frank Pizzuti and his wife, Elizabeth Pizzuti; and his nieces and nephews.
