Kinder, a junior, scored half of her fourth-quarter points from the free-throw line while playing with an edge that impressed third-year Engineers coach Russ Wilcox.
“She basically said, ‘I’m not going to lose this game,’ ” said Wilcox, whose team earned a quarterfinal date Friday at top-ranked Sunapee for the second consecutive year. “She had 14 rebounds, too. Really solid.”
Tori Clough (10 points) played a strong game at point guard for Woodsville, which trailed by a point at halftime, but led by six late in the fourth. The Engineers are 13-8 after finishing 12-7 in division play during the regular season.
The Panthers scored eight points in the final two minutes, including a pair of 3-pointers. They tied it on a pair of free throws with 25 seconds remaining, but Kinder responded with two free throws with 11seconds remaining.
The Engineers defended two shots to preserve the win, the first on a Clough block and the second with Eliza Cowell’s pressure.
The Lakers won last year’s quarterfinal with Sunapee, 76-31, en route to an undefeated state championship season. The Lakers are 21-0 this season.
Sunapee 69, Mount Royal 27

“You can tell they’re going to be a fun rivalry,” Sunapee head coach Tim LaTorra said of the Lakers’ neighbors.
Sunapee led, 48-13, at halftime. Alexis Matte led the Knights with 10 points. Marylin LaRose had eight points for Mount Royal.
Sunapee (19-0) will host Woodsville on Friday night at Sherburne Gym.

“We started off slow,” said Marauders coach Dan O’Rourke. “We missed some easy shots.”
Hanover, which scored 18 of the fourth quarter’s 25 points, received 11 points from Julia Golder, 10 from Maddie McCorkle and eight each from Lois and Diana Schwarz.
The Marauders visit Windham on Thursday for their regular season finale.

Lebanon led, 19-12, at halftime and exploded for 24 points in the third quarter.
“Offensively, we stalled in the second quarter,” Lebanon head coach Tim Kehoe said. “We came out well in the third to put the game away.”
Maddie Hastings had six points and eight assists. Joslin Wainwright had seven points and nine rebounds.

Izzy Wilmott had a game-high 10 points. Dahlia Klarich and Regan Covey each had eight points and Ellen Beracka, a freshman call-up from junior varsity, scored four points in her first varsity game.
Chelsea 52, Mid Vermont 43

“We cut it to one (point) about three times in the fourth,” said Mid Vermont coach Chris Goodwin. “We just couldn’t get over the top.”
Mid Vermont kept pace in the third quarter, matching Chelsea’s 10 points with 10 of its own. Sydney Goodwin scored seven points and Taylor Paquette added four. The Eagles host Craftsbury on Friday.

Cabot tied the game with 10 seconds to go on a 3-pointer from Taylor Abbott. Sharon called time and devised a play designed for Dorman, a senior forward whose initial shot clanged off the rim.
She gathered the miss with her ninth rebound and scored as the horn sounded. It’s the second straight close victory for the Phoenix, which knocked off Mid Vermont on Friday..
“We’ve been playing real well this month,” said Sharon coach Gregg Nalette. “We’re 5-2 (since Jan. 30) and one of those losses was in double overtime.”
Sharon visits Trinity Baptist on Friday before a Saturday tilt against visiting Chelsea.
Mount Royal 70, Sunapee 67

Mount Royal’s Andrew Normandin had 24 and was 12-for-15 from the foul line. Alex Normandin had 17 points, Kolbe Bocko scored 11. The Knights were 24-for-36 from the free-throw line.
Isaiah Gorman led Sunapee with 16 points. Mount Royal and Sunapee now await playoff seeding in NHIAA D-IV.

“It was a playoff atmosphere; a tough game,” said Hartford coach Steve Landon.
Keith Illingworth had a team-high 21 points for the Canes, going 11-for-12 from the fre- throw line. However, Mike Morgan, who had 24 points and Rodney Stork, who had 19 points and five 3-point buckets, were the difference for Mill River.
Hartford (8-10) hosts Mount St. Joseph on Thursday.
Lamoille 71, Oxbow 38

“We couldn’t buy a basket,” said Oxbow coach Steve Carson. “We were getting good shots we just couldn’t make them.”
Ben Emerson led the offense with 17 points and Lincoln Ilsley had 15. Oxbow hosts Lyndon on Friday in its regular-season finale.
Sharon 56, Cabot 23

“It was one of our better performances of the season,” said Sharon coach Blake Fabrikant. “We started off sluggish, which seems to be our trademark, but then we went on a 25-3 run.”
Six-foot-four senior Cordell Benjamin swished his first career 3-point attempt late in the game.
“He looked and me and said, ‘Can I shoot it?’ ” Fabrikant recalled. “I said, ‘Go for it’ and he nailed it.”
The Phoenix host Websterville on Thursday.

“They had a good game plan, which was to slow the game down,” said Rivendell coach Jeff Huntington. “They never came out of their zone, and we were able to take some time off the clock.”

“We have to show up tomorrow and play a full 45 minutes of hockey,” Lebanon coach Gary Smith said. “Today, we only showed up in the second period and it hurt us.”
Lebanon (8-9 overall, 7-8 league) hosts Dover today at 2:30 p.m.
N.H. Shrine GameRoster Announced
Six Upper Valley football players were selected to the New Hampshire roster for this summer’s Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl, which will take place Aug. 5 at Castleton State University.
Making the list were Stevens running back Richard Bell and tight end Zach O’Brien and Mascoma’s Sheldon Farnsworth.
Hanover’s Will Chambers and Newport’s Tyler Hal were picked as offensive linemen and Newport’s Jacob Merritt was selected for the defensive line.

Big Green Ranked No. 20 in ITA Rankings
Hanover
Dartmouth was ranked No. 18 in March 2015, when they got off to an 11-0 start and defeating four ranked opponents and ended up winning the ECAC Indoor Championship that season.
The Big Green has a 9-1 record.
Dartmouth is the only Ivy League team that is nationally ranked.
