She was born Nov. 21, 1938 in New Haven, Conn., the daughter of Harold and Doris (Pascale) Thompson. She received her schooling in Hamden, Conn. and graduated from Hamden High School in 1958. She married Roger H. Boyle in Hamden on Dec. 16, 1961. Mrs. Boyle was employed at New England Telephone in New Haven, Conn., and later at the Arden Nursing Home in Hamden for several years. She and her husband moved to Windsor in 1974. She most recently was employed at the McCurley Nursing Home in Claremont, N.H. until her retirement in 1989.
She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family.
Janet was predeceased by her parents, one daughter, Lori Ellen Mokoski in 2004, and one granddaughter, Ariana Lucas Boyle in 1995
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Roger H. Boyle of Windsor; two sons, Roger H. Boyle, Jr. and his wife, Jennifer of Windsor, and Steven H. Boyle and his wife, April Lucas-Boyle of White River Jct.; two grandchildren, Meredith Boyle and Elise Boyle, both of White River Jct., one sister Roberta Raccio and her husband, Robert of Orange, Conn., and two nieces, Jill Raccio of Orange, Conn. and Jodie Small of Madison, Conn., two grand nieces, Megan and Jordan Small both of Madison, Conn.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Feb. 23 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Hanover, N.H. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. with Rev. Nancy Vogele, Interim Pastor, officiating. Committal services will be held in the spring in the Ascutneyville Cemetery in Ascutney.
