Teresa “Terri” Sherman

Lempster, N.H. — Teresa “Terri” Sherman, 47, died peacefully at her home on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017, after a courageous battle with cancer. Terri grew up in the area and attended Newport High School. She was a spitfire who made an impact on everyone she met. She was short in stature but certainly not in personality. Her amazing spirit and positivity were an example for all of us. She was blunt without being mean and could cheer up all those around her.

Terri worked for Ruger, Eichenauer and most recently for Sullivan County. Her upbeat and excitable personality made her fun to work with and a great coworker. She enjoyed the outdoors and going camping and fishing. She loved all animals but especially her dogs.

Terri was predeceased by her parents and grandparents.

Terri is survived by her longtime companion, Aaron Watson of Lempster; three children, Amber Armstrong and her significant other, Rory Atkison of Bowling Green, Ky., Cory Armstrong and his fiancé, Dara Bolash of Lebanon, N.H., and Victoria Armstrong and her fiancé, Brandon Lord of Lebanon; stepchildren, Allison Dunham, Nikki, Dale, and Bethany Sherman; and granddaughter, Maci Lord.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Terri’s name may be made to the Upper Valley Humane Society.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, Feb. 20, 2017, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. with a prayer service at 6 p.m. at the Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home, 42 Main St., Newport, N.H.
