The bride’s brother, Bryant Royal, officiated at the ceremony. Veronica Thompson was the matron of honor. Clancey Bateman, Ashley Royal and Kelly Williams were the bridesmaids.
The bridegroom’s brother, Nate Kenton, was the best man. Anthony Ciardelli, Adam Simpson and Eli Friedman were the groomsmen.
The bride wore a family heirloom, a pearl cameo necklace, which was worn by her grandmother in 1940.
Scott Taylor, a friend of the couple, composed and played the music during the ceremony. A reception followed at Union Pine in Portland.
The bride is the daughter of Karen Wilson Royal and Richard Raymond Royal, of Sunriver, Ore. She graduated from Desert Vista High School in Phoenix, Ariz., in 2005 and earned a bachelor’s degree in human physiology from the University of Oregon in Eugene, Ore., in 2009. She earned a master’s degree in health communication and food policy from Tufts University in Boston, Mass., in 2013 and is employed as an associate research scientist at Providence Health and Services in Seattle, Wash.
The bridegroom is the son of Lorry Gresham Kenton and Marc Alan Kenton, of Hanover. He graduated from Hanover High School in 2005 and earned a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Oregon in 2009. He earned a master’s degree in business administration from Hult International Business School in Boston in 2016 and is employed as an account manager at Hilti North America in Seattle.
The couple live in Seattle and plan to honeymoon in Scandinavia next year.
