Claremont, N.H. — David L. Howland, 65, passed away Thursday, Jan. 19, 2017, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon. He was born to the late Bernard L. & Phyllis (Laware) Howland. He graduated from Lebanon High School, Class of 1970. David married Diane McGonis on Sept. 28, 1974. Soon after high school he began working for Swift & Co. as a delivery man. He later worked as a salesman for Northern Tire Co. and most recently was employed by Chase’s Auto Salvage in Enfield Center, N.H., as Inventory Manager. David was a long-time member of the Lebanon Elks Lodge 9828. He enjoyed NASCAR and visiting New Hampshire Motor Speedway with his wife. They also enjoyed cookouts with their family and friends. David was most passionate about his wife, daughter and granddaughter.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Howland; a sister, Denise Brown; a brother, Douglas Howland and his wife Debbie; his daughter Jessica Howland, her companion, Matt Cook and their daughter, Olivia; both a sister-in-law and brother-in-law Harry and Debbie LaHaye; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to David’s memorial service at the Lebanon Elks Lodge on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2017, at 1 p.m.
