White River Junction — Volunteer drivers are needed to help pick up donated goods throughout the Upper Valley and bring the items to the Upper Valley Haven.

While the Haven employs one full-time driver, volunteers are needed to fill in for him when he goes on vacation, said Jennifer Fontaine, director of community services and operations for the Haven.

Potential volunteers must be 18 or older and have a Department of Transportation medical card in order to drive the box truck owned by the nonprofit organization.

Drivers will journey as far north as Bradford, Vt., and as far south as New London.

The hours are generally 7-11:30 a.m. on weekdays, but a single volunteer does not need to commit to an entire week of work.

Multiple volunteers can fill in on various days.
