Randolph
Allysa Ashline, 29, was not injured in the fire, but told fire investigators that she barely escaped after waking up around 8 a.m. to smoke filling her home at 560 Curtis Road in Randolph Center. Ashline, whose first name is sometimes listed as Allyssa, left the home with only the clothes she was wearing and a blanket; the Randolph Center Fire Department arrived at about 8:20 a.m. and battled the flames for more than an hour.
A police report said the fire originated near the front door of the home on the inside, but did not say what caused it to start.
The cause is not considered suspicious but is under investigation.
Police ask those with information to call Detective Sgt. Todd Ambroz at 802-878-7111.
