Opperman produced his first two-goal game since Nov. 15, 2014, against Brown, while Crema’s was his second of the season. His first was at Robert Morris on Nov. 27.
The Big Green, which improved to 6-8-3 overall and 3-6-2 in ECAC play, scored three times during the third period after entering it in a 1-1 tie. RPI fell to 4-20-1 and 2-11 and occupies the conference cellar.
Opperman scored his second goal of the night and third of the season midway through the third period,. Crema redirected a point shot from Connor Yau roughly four minutes later for his seventh goal of the season.
Rensselaer’s Jacob Hayhurst scoed the home team’s second goal of the contest soon thereafter to make it 3-2 but Crema scored into an empty net late in the game.
Freshman Clay Han notched the first two assists of his career, setting up Opperman’s second goal and Crema’s first. Junior Corey Kalk also had a pair of assists and Dartmouth goalie Devin Buffalo made 31 saves, including 14 during the final stanza.
For the seventh consecutive game, the Big Green scored on the power play, going 2-for-6 with the man advantage. Dartmouth is back in action Tuesday night at home against No. 2 Harvard.

The Big Green climbed to ninth place in the 12-team conference standings. Dartmouth, which missed the eight-team ECAC playoffs last season, is at 10th-place Harvard on Tuesday. The Crimson lost to 12th-place Union on Saturday, snapping the Dutchwomen’s 49-game conference losing streak.

Hamilton had eight assists in each half and surpassed the previous record of 13 held by Amy Beaton and Cailin Bullett. The Chargers improved to 10-4 overall and 5-3 in North Atlantic Conference play. Green Mountain, which played with one substitute, is 0-11 and 0-8.
Suzy Moses, a Green Mountain sophomore from Sharon Academy, had eight points and seven rebounds. The Eagles are a combined 5-96 during the past five seasons and have dropped 65 consecutive conference games. Their last NAC victory came on Jan. 8, 2012, against Johnson State.
Colby-Sawyer’s Lexi Iannone led all players with a career-high 29 points on 12-of-15 shooting.
