He was born in Drexel Hill, Pa., a son of Robertson H and Aimee Jackson Short
Ted graduated from Dartmouth College and married Patricia Lee Jezierny. They raised their family in Florham Park, N.J., while Ted worked for Peat Marwick Mitchell and Co. in Manhattan. Promotions and transfers took the family to Chicago and St. Louis.
Ted retired from PMM and moved to Scottsdale, Ariz. where he started his own business as a financial consultant to companies in the Promotional Products industry.
In 1995, Ted and Pat moved full time to their home in Eastman in Grantham, N.H. where he served as Treasurer of the Eastman Community Association for six years.
In 2013, they moved to Cary, N.C. where Ted was a member of the Kirk of Kildaire Presbyterian Church.
Ted is survived by his wife Patricia, brother Robertson Short, sons Brian (Gayetta) and Gregory and daughter Carol Duke (Robert) along with 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
