Roger McMahon

St. Helens, Ore. — Roger McMahon, 38, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2016, in St. Helens, of substance abuse related causes. Roger was born in Rutland, Vt. to Debra and Roger McMahon. Roger attended high school at Thetford Academy, where he played soccer and basketball.

He was smart, athletic and funny. He could always make his family and friends laugh. He was creative, and was equally talented at carpentry and auto mechanics. Roger loved the summer, and spent his summers riding bikes when he was younger, and four wheelers, dirt bikes and motorcyles when he became an adult.

He took great pride and enjoyment in being an older brother to his siblings, John Thomas of Lebanon, N.H., Chris Mitchell of Canaan, N.H., Matt Follensbee of Randolph, Vt., Penny Rouse of Bunker Hill, W.Va., and Karen Mitchell of West Fairlee, Vt. He was also very close to his older sister, Raegan Kane of Kilmarnock, Va. Roger also leaves his foster parents Donald and Coralie Mitchell of West Fairlee, Vt.; his twin daughters, Chelsea and Zoey; and their mother Reva Smith of Whitestone, Va.
