Longacre — Thompson

Plainfield — Emily Longacre and Ryan Thompson have announced their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Joanne and James Longacre, of Plainfield. She graduated from Lebanon High School in 2004 and earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Conn., in 2008. She is pursuing a family nurse practitioner degree from Simmons College in Boston and is employed as a registered nurse at Maine Medical Partners in Scarborough, Maine.

The bridegroom-to-be is the son of Cher Harvey and Randy Thompson, of Wintrop, Maine. He gradauted from Winthrop High School in 2003 and is employed in the veterinary support services field in Turner, Maine.

The couple live in Portland, Maine, and plan a November wedding in Hanover.
