Orford, N.H. —
He was born on Dec. 23, 1967, in Hanover, N.H. He attended schools in Orford and was a 1987 graduate of Orford High School. He was married to Tamara Roy on May 15, 1993, who survives.
Rod had been employed for more than 30 years as a Propane Technician for Perry’s Oil Company in Bradford, Vt.
He was an avid snowmobiler and would put on up to three thousand miles per year doing so, he loved camping and traveling.
He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Tamara Estes of Orford; two children, Jim Eastman of Hartford, Vt. and Ami Moore of Lebanon, N.H.; three granddaughters, Rylee, Grace and Sophia; his mother, Geraldine Washburn of Orford; two brothers, Shawn Washburn of Orford and Neil Washburn of Wentworth, N.H.; two sisters, Sharyn Washburn of Warren, N.H. and Tammy Piper of Orford; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Horton Washburn.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2016, at 1 p.m. in the family lot in the Orford Street Cemetery in Orford. There are no calling hours.
