Williamsburg, Va. — The Dartmouth women’s basketball team fell to William & Mary, 63-50, in a non-league game on Thursday night.

Juniors Kate Letkewicz and Emily Slagle led the Big Green (2-4) with 11 points apiece, while freshman Annie McKenna poured in eight points in the 13 minutes she saw on the floor. William & Mary (5-1) also had a pair of players finish the night in double figures in scoring, Marlena Tremba leading the Tribe with her 16 points. The hosts were able to capitalize on Dartmouth’s turnover troubles, scoring 25 points off of giveaways.

“We had a tough time in Virginia, but its part of the schedule,” Dartmouth coach Belle Koclanes said. “We’re not playing together, and the only way our group is going to be a great basketball team is if we play together. It’s really about us right now.”

Dartmouth will remain on the road next week with games at Boston University on Wednesday and Maine on Dec. 10.
