Claremont
Mark Perry, 37, was arraigned on Wednesday in 5th Circuit Court in Claremont on one count of burglary after police say they found him inside Marro at about 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday. According to a news release from Police Chief Alex Scott, a search warrant was executed at Perry’s apartment on Charlestown Road on Thursday resulting in the arrest of Justin Daisy, 25, of Claremont.
Daisy was charged with two counts of conspiracy to commit burglary at Howe Motors and Marro and one count of possession of a stolen firearm. He will be arraigned this morning. Police also said additional charges are likely to be filed against Perry.
The investigation began in early October after a burglary at the T-Bird Mini Mart, which is about a quarter mile from Marro, and the Head Start Preschool, across the street from the home center. After a report of a burglary at Howe Motors on Oct. 26, police began monitoring Marro and discovered a burglary in progress early Tuesday morning, which led to Perry’s arrest. He is being held on $5,000 cash bail.
