Claremont, N.H. — Yvonne T. Ferland, 94, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016 at the Elmwood Center in Claremont, N.H.

She was born in Claremont on Sept. 15, 1922 the daughter of Arthur and Eva (Coyer) Drapeau. Yvonne was a graduate of St. Mary High School in Claremont.

She retired from F.W. Woolworth in Dec. of 1974 where she had worked as a clerk for ten years and previously worked for Hartford Element Company and Green Mountain Sportswear.

The family includes her son, Dennis A. Ferland and his wife, Lynn, of Claremont; her daughters, Ann B. Springer, of Michigan City, Ind., and Stella Lambert and her husband, Donald of Port St. Lucy, Fla.; 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her 1st husband, Alfred Dupree, who died in WWII 1944, and by her 2nd husband, Andre Wilfred Ferland, whom she was married to for 50 years until his death in 1998; brother, Henry R. Drapeau; sisters, Rose D. Smith, Blanche Baldasaro, and Cleo Connally; daughter, Lynn D. Nelson; son-in-law, Alvis Springer, and grandson, Heath Michael Titus.

Visiting hours will be held at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont on Tuesday, Nov. 1 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Mary Church in Claremont on Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 11 a.m. with Father Shawn Therrien officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
