Twilight, adoptable from Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society
“Hi! My name’s Twilight and I’m a 1-year-old spayed female.
“I came to Lucy Mackenzie with a bunch of my friends — we’re all lots of fun and love one another very much. We live together in a lovely cat room here at the shelter and I’m the coordinator of our playtime, which is scheduled roughly every five minutes.
“Sometimes, playtime is interrupted or postponed if a human comes in. Then, we move on to affection-time, which I also coordinate. We love to be pet, we love to play and we really L-O-V-E people. We’re a happy-go-lucky bunch that is sure to bring a lot of smiles and laughter to any household.
“If you’ve been looking for an official playtime or affection time coordinator, stop in and meet me today!”
Twilight is up for adoption from Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society, located at 4832 Route 44 in West Windsor and open to the public Tuesday through Saturday, 12-4 p.m. Lucy Mackenzie is also on Facebook and Twitter and can be reached at 802-484-5829.

Muffin, adoptable from Sullivan County Humane Society
“I am 4-year-old Muffin and I am one cool cat! My owner passed away so his neighbor took me in. Sadly, she had to move into assisted living and was not able to take me. So, for the second time in my life I found myself without a family.
“The humane society took me in but, unfortunately, I hated being in an enclosure and was not letting anyone near me. So, now I am in a foster home. My foster parents say I am wonderful and love attention. I often curl up in their laps when they sit down. I absolutely love temptation treats and could probably be taught to do tricks for them!
“My foster family loves me but cannot keep me since they have other cats and really cannot have another one —otherwise they say that they would keep me in a heartbeat. I would probably do best in a home without small children and with no other pets, or only one or two laid back pets.
“If you would like to meet me and get to know my amazing purrsonality, please call 603-542-3277. I am well worth it!”
Muffin is up for adoption from Sullivan County Humane Society, located at 145 Broad St. in Claremont. Please see hours on the humane society website at www.sullivancountyhumanesociety.org and Facebook. Call 603-542-3277 or email sullivanhumane@hotmail.com.
